Intinerary

Hello all!

I thought I would begin my blog with an answer to question I have been getting most frequently... "Where and when are you going?" Here's the run down:

June 10th - June 12th : Singapore
June 12th - June 16th : Java
June 16th - June 22nd : Bali
June 22nd - June 30th : Java/Malaysia
July 1st - Sept 1st : Sri Lanka

The time spent in Indonesia will be purely vacation. If anyone has been to the islands of Java or Bali before and wish to give some insight please feel free. Once I am in Sri Lanka I will be staying with a a local family just south of Colombo (the capital) and working at a nearby hospital. Every two weeks I will be working in a new department, shadowing different doctors. I am really curious to see the surgical unit, labor & delivery and the emergency room. I really do not know too much about the details of my time in Sri Lanka, but I'll be sure to post updates as soon as I do.

I am really looking forward to this trip since I have never traveled around Asia before. I really don't know what to expect... Here is a beautiful video of Sri Lanka, I plan on visiting some of these spots.
